Hi Tom, thank you again for this deep and complete teaching. Why are we turned outwards? Because the mind cannot grasp, cannot understand the Self or Self-inquiry. It only understands objects. It can only crave what it knows. We are used to navigating through life using the mind as our navigator, but this does not work when seeking the Self.
