Shut up and Get Out!

The heart of the teachings are just this. Here is the most excellent of sadhanas (spiritual practices). Gotta love Swami Chinmayananda for keeping it real. I especially like the way he says “I am not insulting you”:

  1. Abstract ideas such as consciousness, life, misconception, self and truth can be very misleading. The confusion gets even worse, not less, when you put the article ‘the’ before them. You have then turned those ideas into beliefs, and before you know it, you will be a smiling guru with a long name and an orange robe, passing those beliefs on to other naive seekers. 😦
